Gold Engraved Rings

Carved lines that catch the light in metal. These engraved gold rings carry cut patterns along the band and shoulders: leaves, scrolls, an XO motif and art deco geometry, often trimmed in milgrain. Most draw on vintage styles. They are sold as settings, the center being selected later; first you settle the shape and the gold, in 10K, 14K or 18K.

Patterns in the metal

Leaf engraving suits soft, floral settings, while scrollwork and geometric lines lean toward art deco. Some designs carry the pattern on the band alone; others work it into the gallery under the center. Many add pavé of lab-grown diamond accents beside the carving for contrast between polish and sparkle.

Solitaire, halo or three stone

  • Solitaire: leaves the engraving as the main detail.
  • Halo: frames the center with accents above a carved band.
  • Three stone: places side stones over the engraved shoulders.

Gold color and carving

Engraving reads differently in each metal. Yellow gold shows deep, warm shadows in the cuts; white gold looks crisp and silvery; rose gold gives the most antique feel. Settings start at about $500, with most between about $1,150 and $1,600 before the center.

Keeping the carving sharp

Fine grooves slowly fill with residue; a fortnightly scrub with a soft toothbrush and diluted dish soap clears them. Avoid rough work like gardening or weights with the ring on, since hard contact slowly softens engraving edges. Higher karat gold is softer, so a 10K or 14K band keeps crisp detail longest.

Ring questions, answered.

How do I choose an engagement ring?

Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.

Can I build my own engagement ring?

Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.

Does the diamond price include the setting?

Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.

How do I find my ring size?

Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.

Can I return or resize my ring?

You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.
