Some studs build a flower from marquise or pear-shaped petals around a center stone. Others are pavé flowers, magnolias with polished gold petals, or leaf and olive-branch studs that lean toward the face. Clusters give the most sparkle for the size; leaf studs read lighter and more botanical.
How the cut changes a petal
