Halo Split Shank Engagement Rings, grown in light.

A band that parts to hold the halo. Halo split shank engagement rings divide the band near the top, so two strands meet the frame around the center. Many carry pavé along both strands; some add side stones or a twist. You pick the setting, metal and shape on this page, then select the center stone afterward.

Why split the shank

A split shank spreads the band at the shoulders, so the halo sits in a wider, open frame and the center looks bigger on the hand. With a halo, that gap between strands also adds a line of light and air beside the stone.

Strand styles

  • Parallel pavé strands: two even rows that run side by side up to the halo.
  • V split: strands that open in a V, pointing toward the center.
  • Twist and bypass: strands that curve around each other for movement.

A double halo and a triple row split appear in the range for more coverage.

Shapes and metals

Most designs take oval, round, Asscher, emerald, princess and pear centers, with radiant, cushion, marquise and heart on many. Choose white, yellow or rose gold in 10K, 14K or 18K, platinum, or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver.

Fit and care

The split sits at the top only, so the band feels like a standard ring underneath. Lotion collects in the gap between strands; brush it out with warm soapy water. A wedding band that curves or tucks under the split often sits closest.

Ring questions, answered.

How do I choose an engagement ring?

Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.

Can I build my own engagement ring?

Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.

Does the diamond price include the setting?

Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.

How do I find my ring size?

Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.

Can I return or resize my ring?

You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.

Should I insure my engagement ring?

We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
