Prongs, bezels or a channel
The setting decides how much silver shows between the stones.
- Prong set: small claws hold the stones with minimal metal, so the row reads almost unbroken.
- Bezel: a thin silver rim circles every stone; on certain designs a beaded milgrain border softens that rim.
- Channel set: princess-cut stones sit between two silver walls, a smooth edge that slides past a sleeve.
Choosing the total weight
At 3 ct tw the stones are small and close, an easy silver tennis bracelet for daily wear. Around 5–7 ct tw each stone grows large enough to throw clear flashes when the wrist turns. From 10 ct tw upward the bracelet becomes the main piece. Most designs pair E-F or F-G color with VVS-VS or VS-SI clarity, grades that keep each stone icy against the metal.
One row, or something wider
Most designs keep a single row of round stones. Some go further, with double and three-row lines, staggered bezels on two levels, and floral or clover clusters that break the line into small motifs. Wider bracelets sit heavier on the wrist and read best worn alone.
Wearing and cleaning silver
Of the precious metals, sterling dents most easily, and wrists bump into things more than fingers do. Unclasp it for a workout or yard chores. Ten minutes in a bowl of mildly sudsy water lifts hand cream from behind each setting, and a baby toothbrush finishes the job. Pat it dry, test the clasp, and give it a pouch of its own.
Ring questions, answered.
How do I choose an engagement ring?
Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.
Can I build my own engagement ring?
Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.
Does the diamond price include the setting?
Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.
Can I return or resize my ring?
You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.
Should I insure my engagement ring?
We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
