Vintage Three Stone Engagement Rings, grown in light.
Three stones, edged in fine milgrain. These vintage three stone engagement rings take their cue from the antique trilogy diamond ring: a center flanked by side stones, with beaded milgrain on every design and pavé or filigree on many. Metal and center shape come first; the center diamond itself is chosen afterward.

Milgrain, filigree and engraving
Milgrain, a beaded trim worked into the metal's edge, runs through the whole range. Some add open filigree under the stones or engraved scrolls along the shoulders, and several lay pavé of lab-grown diamond accents down the band. The more detail, the more the ring reads as an antique three stone engagement ring from across a table.
Side stones and the center
Flanking the center, lab-grown diamond accents are cut and sized to frame it. A few designs graduate the pavé along the band, others set the sides in bezels or small halos. Round, oval, cushion and princess centers are offered on most designs; heart, radiant, emerald, pear, marquise and asscher on many. A pink, yellow, blue or green fancy center can be chosen for nearly every one.
Metals with an antique cast
- Yellow and rose gold: the warm tones of early 1900s pieces, in 10K, 14K or 18K.
- White gold and platinum: a cooler, art deco look that lets milgrain show as crisp silver lines.
- Silvadium: a sterling silver made to resist tarnish, the lightest way to wear the look.
Caring for beaded edges
Milgrain and filigree catch lotion and soap faster than smooth metal. After a brief soak in mild suds, work a soft brush along the beaded rims and rinse clean. Take it off for gardening and the gym, since hard knocks can flatten fine beading over the years.
Ring questions, answered.
How do I choose an engagement ring?
Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.
Can I build my own engagement ring?
Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.
Does the diamond price include the setting?
Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.
Can I return or resize my ring?
You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.
Should I insure my engagement ring?
We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
