Ten shapes, ten personalities
Shape is the first thing anyone notices about a ring. It changes how large the stone looks, how the hand looks, and how the ring feels to wear.

Round: the brightest
The round brilliant is cut for maximum sparkle. Timeless, easy to set in any style, and the safest choice if you are unsure.
Oval, pear and marquise: the elongating three
Longer shapes draw the eye along the finger and face up larger than a round of the same carat weight. Oval is the softest of the three, pear adds a romantic point, marquise is the most dramatic.
Emerald and asscher: the quiet glamour
Step-cut shapes trade sparkle for long, glassy flashes of light — a hall-of-mirrors look. Because they show more of the stone's interior, choose a slightly higher clarity.
Princess, cushion and radiant: the modern classics
Square and rectangular brilliant cuts keep plenty of fire with a crisper outline. Cushion has softened corners and a vintage feel; radiant combines step-cut lines with brilliant sparkle.
Heart: unmistakable
A heart needs good symmetry and a carat or so to read clearly — but nothing else says it quite the same way.
Not sure? Look at the jewellery she already wears: clean and modern points to emerald or princess, soft and romantic to oval or pear.
Ready when you are.
