Halo Vintage Engagement Rings

A ring of light with an antique edge. These halo vintage engagement rings frame the center in a tight circle of small lab-grown diamond accents and finish the frame with milgrain beading, scrollwork or filigree. They draw on Edwardian and art deco jewelry. Settle on the setting and metal first, and choose the center stone after that.

Milgrain, filigree or pavé

  • Milgrain: a row of tiny beads edges the halo on most designs, softening its outline.
  • Filigree: some settings add open scrollwork under the head and along the shoulders.
  • Pavé bands: many settings carry small stones along the shank, extending the glitter onto the finger.

Platinum, gold or silver

Every design comes in platinum, in 10K, 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or in Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant take on sterling silver. Platinum is dense and keeps fine milgrain crisp the longest. Yellow and rose gold give an art deco halo ring a warmer, period feel; silver keeps the price lower.

Shapes inside the halo

The halo traces whichever outline you choose: radiant, heart, pear, marquise, cushion, Asscher, emerald, princess, oval or round. Fancy yellow, pink, green and blue centers suit most designs as well. Prices open under $250 for the setting, and most fall between about $750 and $1,100.

Caring for fine detail

The beaded edges and openwork that give an antique halo ring its character also trap soap and lotion. A short bath in mild suds, followed by a soft brush worked beneath the halo, lifts that film. Have small halo stones checked once a year.

Ring questions, answered.

How do I choose an engagement ring?

Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.

Can I build my own engagement ring?

Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.

Does the diamond price include the setting?

Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.

How do I find my ring size?

Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.

Can I return or resize my ring?

You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.

Should I insure my engagement ring?

We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
