How the petals are cut
The shape of each stone decides the flower. Marquise and pear cuts make long, pointed petals that read as leaves or wings; rounds build soft, full blooms; an Asscher center gives a square, art deco heart to the spray. Look at the sample photos for how far the petals reach beyond the lobe.
Stud, climber or drop
- Studs: one bloom pinned to the lobe, quiet enough for office days.
- Climber: a trail of rosettes that climbs from the piercing toward the upper ear.
- Drop: a flower top with a spray that moves below it.
Gold, platinum or silver
Yellow gold warms the petals and suits a botanical look; white gold and platinum let the cluster read as one bright shape. Rose gold sits in between. There is also Silvadium, a sterling silver that resists tarnish, for a lighter price. Total weights run from about 0.25 to 3.25 carats depending on the design, so some are delicate and some fill the lobe.
Caring for a cluster
Hairspray and lotion drift into the gaps between petals and dull them. Turn the earring over and work suds through the openings from behind using a baby toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry. Put earrings on after styling your hair, and check the prongs on the petal tips now and then, since those points catch on knitwear most often.
Ring questions, answered.
How do I choose an engagement ring?
Start with the shape she loves, then the setting style. Our gemologists can help you balance carat, cut and budget on a free video call.
Can I build my own engagement ring?
Yes — pick a setting, then a diamond, and review the finished ring before it goes to the bench.
Does the diamond price include the setting?
Diamond and setting are priced separately in the ring builder, and the total is shown before you add the ring to your bag.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide, or order a free ring sizer — it arrives in 2–3 days.
Can I return or resize my ring?
You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.
Should I insure my engagement ring?
We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
