The outer row
An inner halo traces the center; a second, set just outside it, widens the face of the ring again. A round center surrounded by two halos can look close to twice its own width from across a table, while the center stays the brightest stone.

Caring for two halos
Many tiny accents rely on many tiny prongs. A soft brush and lukewarm suds lift lotion from beneath the halos; a yearly prong inspection keeps them secure. Silver needs only a soft cloth between cleanings.
