Keeping the sparkle: caring for your ring
Diamonds do not fade, but they do collect lotion, soap and everyday film that dulls their sparkle. The fix takes five minutes.

The five-minute clean
- Soak the ring in warm water with a drop of mild washing-up liquid for a few minutes
- Brush gently behind the stone with a soft toothbrush
- Rinse under warm running water (close the sink first)
- Pat dry with a lint-free cloth
When to take it off
Remove your ring for the gym, gardening, cleaning with chemicals, swimming in chlorinated pools and before bed. Put it on after lotion and perfume, not before.
Storing it
Keep it in its own pouch or box. Diamonds can scratch other jewellery — and other diamonds.
