Two ends, one curl of light.
The ends of this sterling silver band don't meet head-on. They curl in stacked, rippling layers and slip past one another at the front, tracing a loose S. Caught between them is a short line of round lab-grown diamonds, close to the same size, each raised in prongs of its own and nearly touching the next. The stones stay on the top; the rest of the ring is smooth, bright metal.
