A knot, tied in ribbon and light.
Ribbon-like loops cross over one another to form each stud, and no two of them sit at the same level, so the knot has real depth. Round lab-grown diamonds in several sizes follow every loop in curved rows, the bigger ones along the middle ribbons, with tiny beads holding them and raised polished white gold ridges between the rows. One stone-set loop sweeps across the bottom.
